The PRP Mambas baseball teams have once again demonstrated their excellence in the 2022 season, finishing as the #5 PGranked 18u team in the country. With a final record of 34-2-1 and four championships in five weekends, it's clear that this organization is dedicated to developing young athletes into top-performing baseball players. Axe Bat is pleased to announce our continued partnership with this elite program for the 2023 season. We will continue to provide wood and BBCOR Axe bats for each player.
The new 3-piece Pro construction for the 2023 Avenge Pro Axe Bat features the Charged Carbon Max, a carbon composite material that brings performance to the very edge of the legal limit. The ShieldBoost Blastwall provides massive weight savings, top durability, and the largest barrel ever seen in a USSSA bat. The Shock Suspension technology intercepts vibration at the connection point, giving you the smoothest and best-feeling swing. The HyperWhip End Cap reduces even more weight for a faster and larger barrel, while the patented Youth Axe Handle provides more speed, control, and the best grip.
Each individual governing body chooses to regulate bats via their own performance metrics; however, all modern metrics are measured identically via the bat performance cannon described above, and values that are compounded by the ratio of outbound to inbound speed measured by the cannon process. Each of these individual metrics are described below.
Each bat sold in the American bat market is required to pass certification testing at a third-party laboratory for its given regulatory stamp prior to production and sale of that bat design.
Enter Axe Bat’s patent pending Shock Suspension Connection, one of the few technologies in the game that completely separates the barrel from the handle of two-piece bats, via shock absorbing dampening material. The Shock Suspension Connection can be found on nearly every 2022 & 2023 Axe Bat baseball or fastpitch model, including the 2023 USSSA Avenge Pro, 2022 BBCOR Avenge Pro & Avenge Pro Hybrid, 2022 Fastpitch Avenge Pro, and the soon-to-be released 2023 BBCOR and USA-Bat Avenge Pro Hybrid.
Barrel compression describes the scientific method used to measure the deflection (or flex) of a baseball or softball bat barrel wall, replicating what may happen when the barrel is impacted by a pitched ball. The barrel compression method may be performed in a lab with high precision barrel compression machine, capable of measuring barrel compressions accurate to the ±0.01lb), or performed on-field using hand-held devices, that while not as accurate, are much more portable.
