Frequently Asked Questions
What does Dual Stamp mean?
What does Dual Stamp mean?
A Dual Stamp bat meets both the USSSA 1.20 BPF / 240 lb compression standard and the USA Softball 98 mph standard, and carries both certification marks. That makes it legal in both associations' sanctioned play with a single bat.
Is a dual-stamped bat as hot as a USSSA-only bat?
Is a dual-stamped bat as hot as a USSSA-only bat?
Generally no. Because a Dual Stamp bat has to satisfy the more restrictive USA Softball standard as well as USSSA, performance is set closer to the lower of the two limits. Competitive USSSA-only players who never play USA Softball typically get more pop from a USSSA-only model. The tradeoff is convenience — one bat instead of two.
