Yes, wood is an accepted alternative to BBCOR for NFHS high school and NCAA college play. Solid one-piece wood barrels do not require a USA Baseball mark; multi-piece and composite wood bats do require it to be legal in USA Baseball-governed play, which does not apply at the high school/college level but matters if the same bat is used in a youth league.
